Tip # 1 - Reiki Training and Certification
There are three levels of Reiki training as follows:
- Reiki I - Practitioner
- Reiki II - Advance Practitioner
- Reiki III - Master / Teacher level
To become a Reiki practitioner, you only need to be certified at the first level of training. However, if you want a more comprehensive training Reiki, you must complete all three levels to be certified as a master of Reiki that you will give Attunements to other students and teaching Reiki.
Tip # 2 - Know the rules of your State and Legal
Alternative therapy regulations vary from state to state. Check with your local chamber of commerce for regulations and / or a license for your area. If you plan to run your Reiki to practice your home, you'll need to know if the residential area you are living in the house allows companies. It is recommended to have clients sign a consent form that says in writing that Reiki is not a substitute for seeking health care professionals. Keep detailed records of your income and stay on your income tax and self-employment obligations.
Tip # 3 - money for your supplies
Investing in high quality massage table if you work at your home. If you're willing to travel to conduct at home or conduct meetings in other places such as hospitals, spas or community centers, and a table will be necessary. You will also need to reinforce the face of rest, clean sheets and other accessories you want for your treatment area.
Tip # 4 - Establish your rates
Conduct research on what other Reiki practitioners are charging in your area for their services. You want to stay competitive, but not under value you. A good indicator to watch is the rate in force for a massage in your area.
Tip # 5 - Promotion Ideas
Wear a theme Reiki T-shirt. This could start a few conversations with people who you can talk about your practice to others. Having a car door magnet created for your vehicle to advertise your practice. Write articles for your local newspaper or holistic paper in your area. Form relationships with other health practitioners where you can refer customers to another. Introduce yourself to local media and journalists in May that need your expertise or a summons you to stories they could do about alternative therapies.
Taking a course in Reiki and get certified is the first step towards creating your own practice. Once you have your training and certification under your belt, these tips will help you build a solid foundation for successful practice.
